This front yard project was for a client in La Mesa, San Diego, who wanted a Japanese-esque / Modern landscape renovation.
There were some tricky elevational changes to integrate but it was all worked out like a well-crafted puzzle with new trex decking, a new paver driveway, and retaining wall planters. New horizontal fencing was also added, as well as a beautiful new palo verde tree that became the central focal feature of the yard.
This client wanted to do everything in phases to meet their budget, so minimal planting was installed and the back and side yards are also to be scheduled later. As with all new projects, starting with a ‘to-scale’ landscape design plan is the best strategic first step to any successful project installation.
